Feature overview

Dashboard

The Dashboard tab provides a summary of analytics, videos, and comments on your channel. You can also monitor common YouTube issues.

Content

The Content tab lists your videos, video Shorts, live streams and playlists. You can edit video details, check video restrictions, and more.

Analytics

The Analytics tab provides an overview of your channel's performance, such as views, watch time and revenue. Learn more about Analytics.

Comment

In the Comments tab, you can view, delete, and respond to comments on your videos. Learn more about managing comments.

Starting November 1, 2021, monetizing creators must enable 2-Step Verification on the Google Account used for their YouTube channel in order to access YouTube Studio or YouTube Studio Content Manager

YouTube Studio is a place for creators. You can manage your presence, grow your channel, engage your audience, and make money from one place.

Open YouTube Studio

Open YouTube Studio directly or follow these steps to open YouTube Studio:

Sign in to YouTube Studio.

At the top right, select your profile photo .

Choose YouTube Studio.​

Note: You may be asked to re-authenticate when you sign in.

Dark theme

With Dark theme, you can reduce glare from the screen and use YouTube Studio with a dark background.

Sign in to YouTube Studio.

At the top right, select your profile photo .

Select Appearance then Dark Theme. You can also select "Use device theme" to follow your device's dark theme settings.

Access various features

Use the top of the screen in YouTube Studio to:

Browse your video and go directly to the video details page

Upload a new video or do a live stream

Open your channel, return to YouTube, change accounts, or log out

Manage channels

Use the menu on the left to manage your videos and channels.

Channel dashboard: Get an overview of new activity on your channel, as well as what's new on YouTube.

Content: Find summaries of your videos and live streams.

Playlists: Create and manage your playlists.

Analytics: Monitor your channel and video performance with metrics and reports.

Comments & Mentions

Comments: View and reply to comments on your videos.

Mentions: (If eligible) Find a list of mentions from other creators about your channel.

Subtitles: Add subtitles to videos or crowdsource them from your community.

Monetization: (If eligible) Update merchandise and subscription settings.

Customization: Adjust channel layout, branding and basic info.
